"I had just returned from the grocery store to pick up grapefruit for my next painting. I plopped the bag of fruit on the kitchen table, and BANG! The lighting, positioning, and visual interest was just perfect. This hardly ever happens. I recreated the scene in my studio (so I didn't clutter our kitchen with gear), and the final product is what you see here. The three sources of light and the transparency of the plastic bag were real challenges! I'm excited about how it turned out, and the challenge made it that much more satisfying."
